Who We Are
One Lincoln is an informal group of neighbors who are organizing and volunteering to help make change in Lincoln and to educate our neighbors on ways to improve the city. It is not a political action committee nor does it advocate for or against any candidates or ballot initiatives. This Privacy Policy describes how One Lincoln collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information you voluntarily provide when you sign up through our website or by direct contact:
- Full name
- Email address(es)
- Mobile phone number(s) (optional)
- ZIP code
- Your consent preference for SMS text message communications
We do not use cookies for tracking, run advertising on our site, or collect any information beyond what you directly submit.
How We Use Your Information
Information you provide is used solely to communicate with you about One Lincoln’s activities, such as:
- Town halls, community events, and volunteer opportunities
- Coalition news and updates
- Calls to action related to Lincoln city issues
We will only send you text messages if you expressly opted in by checking the SMS consent box on our signup form or provided written consent. Opting in to SMS is not required to join the coalition or receive email communications.
SMS Text Messaging
By checking the SMS opt-in box on our signup form, you agree to receive periodic text messages from One Lincoln. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out of text messages at any time, reply STOP to any message you receive. To request help, reply HELP or contact us at contact@onelincoln.us. Opting out of SMS does not remove you from our email list.
How We Share Your Information
One Lincoln does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
We use third-party service providers to operate our communications, including contact form processing and SMS delivery.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process.
Data Retention and Security
We retain your information for as long as you remain an active member of the One Lincoln coalition. If you have not engaged with our communications for 12 or more months, we may remove your contact information from our active list. You may also request deletion at any time (see “Your Rights and Choices”).
Your information is stored using industry-standard security practices through our third-party service providers. We do not store payment information of any kind.
Your Rights and Choices
You may request to access, correct, or permanently remove your information from our records at any time by contacting us at contact@onelincoln.us. We will honor all such requests within a reasonable time, typically within 10 business days.
To unsubscribe from email communications, reply to any email with “unsubscribe” or use the unsubscribe link included in our messages.
To opt out of SMS, reply STOP to any text message.
Changes to This Policy
One Lincoln may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or participation in our communications after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
